I'm at work right now.
my boss informed a client that one of our programmers (the one in charge of this guy's project) is sick today so that he is able to work on other projects, rather than said client's, for the day.
this client made a surprise visit to discuss his website.
the programmer has been hiding in the bathroom for the past half hour.

ahahahah

i love it. it's so office-like, here. My boss makes awesomely corny jokes and there are really awkward silences! : D .. always!

+ the dark knight is absolutely phenomenal. Heath Ledger gave the most incredible performance as the joker @_@ he honestly stole the film - he /owned/ it. Seriously, his performance is enough for me to see the movie again (at least one more time). He gave me chills each and every time he came on screen. OH. MAN.

+ I'm going to a huge concert in TO this weekend.
TOKYO POLICE CLUB + VAMPIRE WEEKEND + BORN RUFFIANS + OTHERS I DONT REALLY CARE ABOUT = EPIC WINNNNNNNN

I discussed it with a random man at the bus stop this morning (wearing tight tight cut off jean shorts rofl) and he was so creepy/awesome ahah he was like:

'you know what people do at those concerts? they go to a bar, get a good buzz and .. SMOKE SOME MARIJUANA.'

'aha .. you dont say. :0'

Sounds like this job of yours is pretty kick arse!!

I think everyone is raving about Heath's performance because he is dead. I sure it is good, I'm not denying that, but I'm getting pretty fucking sick of hearing people rave about it. Like seriously, that's all most people have to say about the movie.
</rant> All I'm saying is if he wasn't dead, I'm sure people wouldn't be taking about his performance half as much.

Errrr yes. Sorry for the rant. =S

people are raving over it because it was a praise/oscar-worthy performance. =/ it's 'all people have to say about the movie' because it was /that/ good.
before seeing batman, I didn't think much of heath ledger - i think a knight's tale is one of the worst movies out there, and I havent even seen brokeback mountain - so from a completely unbiased perspective, he was incredible.
and even so, he isn't Heath in the movie - he loses himself completely in the role, which is something so rare in movies today, imo. Thats why people are raving. =/ He isn't Heath Ledger at all in the film; if he was, i could see people associating it with his death ('oh, he was so handsome, he'll be missed';), but he personifies such a loathsome, vile, scarred/scaryyy character who so contrary to the image of himself he portrays in real life, that I (and presumably others) cant make that association.
did you know he spent 2 + months in solitary confinement preparing for the role? it's serious business.
